The Voice, a new translation of the Bible, for which I'm honored to have contributed, is now available and got a nice shout-out from USA Today!
Bible Babel is now available in paperback (Harper Perennial, 2011).
Bible Babel was nominated for the 14th Annual (2011) Library of Virginia "People's Choice" Award. Thanks to those of you who voted! The Library of Virginia also selected the book as a finalist for their nonfiction award! You can read about that and the other finalists here, from the Richmond Times Dispatch.
Some great reviews (read more by clicking the "Bible Babel" button) ~
Read Michael Dirda's full Washington Post review of Bible Babel, Martin Sieff's Washington Times review, and Chris Querry's MyShelf.com reviews of Bible Babel here. To Joseph Laycock's thereligiousleft review, I'm happy to add that just a few days after he posted it, Bible Babel came out in paperback -- less expensive yet with equally fun, though stylistically different, cover art. Have a look also at Bill Tammeus' "Faith Matters" Weblog (3-22-11) for a brief but enthusiastic review, and at Greg Richardson's kind review at StrategicMonk.com. And Bible Babel has made it across the pond with a super nice mention in Ron Ferguson's The Herald Scotland column.
